Customer Inspiration - May 2023 edition – Blue Ticking

It's been a little while since I wrote a customer Inspiration blog which is a real shame because I love sharing our goods in situ. I promise I won't leave it as long before I share your pictures so that others can be inspired! We have a great mix of goods this month for you to feast your eyes on; desks, lighting, Maggie's, shelving units and loads more! Happy reading!

Dreamy bedside tables!

In the past year we have found a great supplier of Japanese goods. We instantly fell in love with the tea crates with their colourful labels on each end. They provide such great storage and can also double up as a side table. We have about three in our home; ones our daughters bedside table, another houses all our paperwork and the bigger one is a side table and contains all the kids games and puzzles. One of our brilliant customers Lynsey Bradley managed to nab one for her daughters bedroom and it makes the perfect bedside table.

Lynsey also bought this great wooden table on castors which again doubles up as a beside table. Perfect for housing all the essentials and very easy on the eye!

Marvellous Maggie's

We have customers that come back to us to buy more Maggie's because they love them so much! Many of you have whole collections which is just brilliant. Emma Anderson managed to claim two Maggie's for her home, a classic red one and a vibrant blue round Maggie. Both shapes make brilliant stools and the storage under the seat pads is an added bonus. Here's the red one looking fab against the wooden floor.

Birthday desks

Many of you choose to buy a desk to give as a birthday present. Knowing one of our desks is a gift gives me so much joy because I love the thought of children having their own creative space on their special day. Stephanie Bell chose one of our customised doubles for her sons birthday. She went for the half painted legged double and picked Cooks Blue for the legs and inside bases. The desk was then paired with a simple wooden chair, love!

Lynsey Bradley managed to nab one of my favourite desks, this brilliant tambour fronted French desk with extra leaf. The perfect spot for creativity, reading and working!

Leading lights

A couple of years ago we branched out into lighting, specialising in desks lamps. One design which we're always on the look out for is the Terence Conran Habitat Maclamp. We rewire with new flex and PAT test them so they are all ready to go. This red one was snapped up by Emma Anderson and is another piece in her growing Blue Ticking collection! They make such great desk or bedside table lamps.

Shelfie!

We managed to source a number of these striking blue shelves from India and they proved super popular and were snapped up straight away. I'm pleased to say I grabbed one for myself and it resides in our bathroom and houses plants, our never ending sea glass collection and some of the girls toiletries. Another brilliant customer Nu managed to get one to display her kids treasures on. How good does it look?
