The customer inspiration blog is back! Apologies for another extended break, no excuses, just totally side tracked with other things! We love to see our goods in your homes, so it's a thrill to be able to share the below insights. If you would like to be featured we would love to hear from you.
Very Rare Esavian Drawers
If we spot anything with the Esavian/ESA stamp we're keen! Esavian furniture is getting harder to find and so when we spotted these drawers at a recent fair we got very excited. Luckily for us Paul was after something he could use as a kitchen island and these drawers really did fit the bill! If you love them as much as us the great news is we are collecting another one next week. Please do get in touch if you'd like more info.
Shelving Goals
Storage is always a priority for customers and Rachael Strange was after something that didn't take up too much floor space but could house a lot of books. This brilliant tall shelving unit that attaches to the wall was just the thing. We painted it in Farrow & Balls Stone Blue. This shelving unit proved so popular John has recreated it for other customers. If you would like something just like this please do drop us an email.
Caroline Tyrell was also after a shelving unit and asked us to make something bespoke for her space. John got to work and made a brilliant storage unit which we then customised in Blazer. With Johns carpentry skills we love creating bespoke pieces. Do get in touch by email if you have an idea you'd like to discuss with us.
Emma Butcher ordered one of our paint splattered display shelves for her child's bedroom. These are brilliant for showing off their much loved treasures and trinkets. We also have a plain version available and you get to choose the colour we paint it!
Creative Spaces
We love a desk at Blue Ticking and know how important it is for children to have their own creative space. Georgina Lewis wanted to find something for her daughters bedroom and settled on one of our classic school desks with lift up lids and it was paired with a wooden chair. The desk hinges and bases and chair legs were all painted in Farrow & Balls super soft pink Calamine.
If you fancy adding a desk to your childs bedroom head online to see what we've currently got in stock.
Our goods in fun places!
We love it when other creative businesses get in touch and want to use our goods as props or in photoshoots etc. One such business was the dance company New Adventures which was set up by the incredible choreographer Matthew Bourne. They had a production called Doorstep Duets which was touring in the UK in July and they needed a number of desks and chairs. They were to be an integral part of the performance so it was really wonderful to be able to supply them with what they needed.
At the end of the summer one of our wonderful vintage art benches was in a window display in Selfridges for Free People. It's so fun to be part of something like this and we love the result.
Please do share your pictures with us, we would love to see more of our goods in their new homes. Simply drop us an email if you'd like to be included in the next one.
