There are few rooms in my home that demand as much work as the kids' room. I don't just mean planning the design, it's the colour scheme, style, theme, furniture….. the list goes on. Once these have all been decided, it's also the daily upkeep, especially with the endless amount of toys that all seem to be out at once. I've tried very hard to create fun rooms but at the same time, create smart storage solutions that will turn a messy kids room into a more tolerable and organised space!

Here are a few tips and pieces of furniture that can help transform your kids room and maybe even help you get some time back in the evening!

Wall Mounted Furniture

If you have the space to tap into the kids wall then this is the perfect way to free up floor space and even add an extra visual appeal. Wall-mounted shelving is not only practical but it keeps those bits and pieces off the floor.

The wooden Lollipop soda crates from America are all over our house and both our daughters have one in their bedrooms. They can all be used to display treasures or to show of their lego collection!

Kids will love the freedom of choosing their favourite knick-knacks whilst you get the opportunity to free up some space in other storage areas or the floor!
