We have all been spending a lot more time at home over the last few months, and if you are anything like me, you have been looking at your house a bit differently and thinking about making improvements or having a bit of an update. One space which is always fun to have a go at is a kids bedroom. There are lots of simple things you can add to help transform an area and with this in mind I thought it would be good to highlight a few key pieces.
Add colour
A really easy way to transform a space is to add some wall decor in the form of some prints. Our Children's pink 'Treats' print, is a great example of this. It's vibrant and fun and will brighten up any space.
Another great way to add colour is by using a piece that is not only bright but also functional. We absolutely love our double metal storage lockers and to add a pop of colour we've spray painted them in vibrant colours that will suit any space.
These lockers will transform any space and also provide much needed extra storage, it's a win win!
Make it cosy
By infusing a children's bedroom with vintage pieces it helps to create a familiar and cosy feel. I always think that wood is a material that brings warm tones to a room and can help create a natural look.
Our Children's Oak Storage Cabinet shouts cosiness to me and it has lots of different compartments inside, ideal for books, stationary or arts and craft items.
If you want to add a touch of nostalgia to your kids room why not add in one of our desks. You could go for the Esavian single desk with half lift up lid or the classic wooden double, both may be similar to what you used back in school. The two different style desks provide ample space to sit and create and also have handy storage areas for all the pens and pencils too.
Add storage solutions
No bedroom makeover would be complete without adding extra storage, because let's face it we always need more room for our beloved items don't we?
Our unique and hard to find American Lollipop soda crates are the perfect way to add a vintage item to your kids room whilst having a new space to hide all the treasures they've picked up on the way.
You could even add more colour and storage to the bedroom makeover by adding a wire basket. They come in multiple colours and are very handy for storing lots of different things like shoes, books, toys etc.
Have fun!
However you choose to transform the kids bedroom we hope you can take some inspiration and tips away from the suggestions above.
