The Small Brand Christmas Guide!

Being a small business ourselves we know how important your support is. This year I wanted to shout about some of the ones I love and who I have been shopping with this Christmas. Do take a look and enjoy browsing their incredible wares!

The Bright Company

I love everything about these amazing pyjamas. They are fun, perfect for families and they last. What makes them even more appealing is that they are eco-friendly, and all the pyjamas are made from GOTS certified organic cotton jersey fabric which is super soft!

My top pick would be the Moon print Pjs because I just love the print and colour options.

Sideline

I discovered this stunning womens independent clothing brand about a year ago and cannot love them anymore! I want to buy everything and one thing that's definitely on my Christmas list is the denim Lyra jacket! Their designs are classic and the detail on each piece is stunning. They make clothes that last and I love that. You can't go wrong at Christmas with gifting a scarf and the Freya Scarf definitely stands out. I love the colours and it makes me feel warm just looking at it!

Konoc

I have got to know the lovely Sally who runs Konoc via the brilliant Mamahood. She's also another Surrey dweller so not far from the Blue Ticking studio. Sally makes incredible leather goods and I'm already the proud owner of her best-selling key rings and some earrings. I know I will be adding to my collection this Christmas! Each piece is made in the UK by Sally and I think the initial stud earrings would make the perfect Christmas present.

Smallprint Books

I'm obsessed with books and absolutely love discovering new ones for Edith and Maggie. Jenny always has such a great selection for all ages and her passion for finding new and interesting titles shines through. All books are road-tested at home and are full of wonderful illustrations and imagery. Jenny has put together a fabulous Christmas range this year and my top pick has to be the classic 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'.

Closet and Botts

Based in the beautiful town of Lewes this is one of my all-time favourite shops to visit. As you can imagine I love the vintage feel and everything they stock. I can often be seen on my Instagram stories donning a French blue work jacket that was purchased on my last trip! Whilst you cannot visit the shop currently, they have a fab website where you can buy what your heart desires! They have a huge selection of Christmas gifts this year and because I'm a big fan of enamel I would have to go for the blue enamel candle holder!

Molly Meg

This is my absolute go to kids store for birthday and Christmas presents as well as party decorations. It's full of wonderful toys, clothes, soft furnishings and lots more. It's just as well I don't live near Islington because I know I would be in there every week! Luckily, I can feed my habit via their website! They sell a unique range of products from different brands and I love how they cater to all ages. I have already purchased some of their origami kits and nail varnish.

Scout & Co

I cannot believe I only discovered Scout & Co a few months ago! I have already placed about three orders with them this Christmas. Their website is jam packed with cool kids' clothes, toys, arts and craft gifts and books. You have to take a look, it's really rather wonderful and makes me want to be a child again! Everything they sell is design led and the website is beautifully designed to match. If you need gift ideas for new-borns, then make sure you check out their 'baby's first Christmas' selection.

Honey & Toast

If you are after the most stunning leather bags and accessories, then Honey & Toast is for you! You can even capture your child's doodle on your chosen bag, a wonderful keepsake. It's hard to pick one single item but if you are struggling to think of presents for men then take a look at the Jester card holder, made in a deep navy or striking sun yellow!

Jessica Ford

Oh my goodness, I just love Jessica's artwork. I already have two of her prints in our house and would quite happily have more! Every time I look at them, they make me smile, I love the colour and joy they bring to our house. Jessica works from her seaside studio in Hove so I can see where she gets a lot of her inspiration! My favourite print to order for a gift this year has to be 'Trouva'. The colours are beautiful and it would work in so many different spaces.

Goodordering

If you have ever wondered where I got my yellow glasses from, well wonder no more! Goodordering are best known for their incredible array of bags for both kids and adults. If you are after something a bit different with a super cool vibe then head to their website! I love how they pay attention to small design details and always include compartments in all shapes and sizes to cater for everybody. My favourite gift idea for all those budding creatives has to be the mini kids work smock, it's so cute and practical!
